Norman Mack began his career at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in 1995, 担任惩教人员. In 1997, he was hired by the 利昂县警长’s Office, 担任惩教人员 in the Housing Unit. In 1999, Mack was transferred to the Booking Unit. In 2005, he went back to the Academy and received his 执法 Standards, 通常被称为, 双重认证.

In 2006, Mack was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and reassigned to the Housing Unit. Later that year, Sergeant Mack was reassigned to the Booking Unit. While assigned to the Booking Unit, Sergeant Mack received Florida Gang Investigator’s Certifications in the Beginners and Intermediate Levels. Sergeant Mack remained in Booking overseeing Inmate Intake and Releasing until 2011.
In 2011, Mack was reassigned to the 利县 Work Camp and supervised Work Camp Crews for Detention Facilities Staff as well as City and County Work Crews.

In 2015, Mack was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was reassigned to supervise the Booking Unit.
